While working on animation projects at a public university with a team of inexperienced students, we discovered that maintaining both the continuity and quality of the project can be the biggest challenge.
This was the starting point for my graduation thesis, ''Nosso Jeito'': A Methodology for Developing Collaborative Animation Projects at Public Universities.
The project was created to address challenges related to managing inexperienced students in animation projects at the Mirá Animation Center, an extension initiative of the School of Fine Arts at the Federal University of Bahia.
The main questions that emerged were:
How can we maintain a volunteer team on long-term projects?
How can we preserve knowledge within Mirá and shorten the learning curve?
How can we reinforce the pedagogical nature without compromising the progress of projects?
Given an inexperienced team and challenges in passing knowledge to new members, how can we maintain the quality and continuity of projects?
